AFTER WERK

AFTER WERK

Directed by: Gabriel Hudson

Genre: Drama

SYNOPSIS

By day, Gavin is an ambitious newcomer determined to build a stable life and climb the corporate ladder. Every move is measured, every smile rehearsed. By night, he transforms into Premium Citrus, a vibrant, commanding drag performer who owns the stage with unfiltered confidence.

When a coworker unexpectedly spots him after a show, Gavin’s carefully separated worlds begin to crack. The promotion he’s been working toward suddenly feels at risk, and the fear that his secret could expose him as “unprofessional” consumes him. Torn between ambition and authenticity, Gavin faces the impossible choice of protecting his image or embracing his truth.

After Werk moves between the cold fluorescence of office life and the pulsating color of Toronto’s drag scene. Through visual contrast, sound design, and performance, the film explores identity, assimilation, and the courage it takes to live without disguise.
